Traveling to Golden, CO

Flying to Denver: for those flying in, Golden is about a 45-minute drive from Denver International Airport (DIA). The typical car rentals/Uber/Lyft/taxis are available to and from DIA. You can also get to Golden via shuttle or train.

Denver Airport Shuttle: $68 one-way for the first person. Reduced price for each additional person ($30 for person #2, $15 for person #3, etc.). Picks up at the airport, drops you directly at your hotel/location of your choosing.

Book on the Golden West Airport Shuttle website.

Train: $10.50 one-way

Picks up at DIA (look for signs to the Transit Center, also called Denver Airport Station). Drops off at Jefferson County Government Center - Golden Station (about 3 miles from downtown Golden).

Instructions: take the A-line from Denver Airport Station to Union Station. Then, hop on the W-line from Union Station to Jefferson County Government Center - Golden Station. Trains run every 15-30 minutes. The last W-line train departs Union Station at 11:54 pm. Total transit time is around 1.5-2 hours one-way.

Tickets can be purchased at the airport, online, or through the RTD App. Select "full fare."

*The bus also drops off in downtown Golden, but it doesn't pick up at the airport or at Union Station. If you're interested in taking the bus, you can find route details online. The trip planner tool in the RTD app is also quite nifty.
